Sketch Prompt: Banana Pudding

I enjoy drawing challenges. Today’s r/Sketchdaily drawing prompt is: Banana Pudding

How cute is her little pink leotard!

As a member of blogging communities, I share my posts here too:

Sketch Prompt: Roller Derby

This post fills the brief for today’s r/Sketchdaily drawing prompt: Roller Derby

Sketch Prompt: ‘Hagrid’

Today’s prompt was pretty unambiguous, Hagrid from J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter fantasy series was the topic.  I included one of Hagrid’s quotes because it’s so awesome; ‘Yeh don’ have ter be ashamed of what yeh are.’ Wise words from the bearded Hagrid himself.

This post fills the brief for today’s sketch prompt, supplied by r/Sketchdaily.

Sketch Prompt: ‘Angels’

He might not have a halo or wings, but Dobby is my perfect little angel. This handsome chocolate Devon Rex crept deeply into my heart when I met him 4 years ago, and has been with us ever since. I sketched this picture of him sleeping on top of the blanket – on top of my feet. Snug as a bug in a rug. My angelic Dobb-Dobbs.

Today’s sketch prompt ‘Angels‘ came from the Sketchdaily subreddit. A community of artists and bloggers.

I also participate in drawing communities through hashtags on Instagram. Here is today’s post.

I took my iPad and stylus (instead of traditional materials) to Portrait Drawing class recently, I found it so convenient to draw on the iPad. It was there that I sketched my friend the lovely Miss Rhonda.

Sweet Miss Candy

Today’s prompt is Candy People. It is a character design challenge run by Character Design References.

Thanks to SketchDaily on Reddit who have been issuing daily drawing prompts. Meet today’s character, the sweet little ‘Miss Candy.’

Change is difficult, most of us resist it, but the one thing we can be sure of is that change will always happen. We might as well embrace it, like my little chameleon.

Another quick iPad drawing. This sketch was based on a photograph of people at a craft group. I like how the concentration still shows in her posture and face in spite of the minimalist style of drawing.

I’ve been practicing drawing facial expressions for a portraiture project that I have undertaken. This one shows pain. It does look ouch, doesn’t it?

Sketched on my iPad with a stylus.
